Version 1.5.2 Problems
Have used the softward for years, no problem. Then updated to 1.5.2 and cannot get it to work.
I have a Devilbiss (Blue Standard ) and added my wife's ResMed Air Sene Auto Set.
Running Windows 10 and chrome.
I can import the SD card data, and it shows success. But can't seem to select a profile, or get to what I recall is the Welcome page.
Even totally uninstalled, erased any Oscar profile info, etc, etc. and reinstalled. Same. No luck.
Help!?
ps...one thing before I forget....I think I accidentally at the start of all this seemed to have imported my machines' data for 10 or 20 years. (?) Think I was sloppy about what E-drive/file I said to import. So this is what I tried to uninstall and erase. Now with new software, and a new SD card recording only a couple of weeks, no luck in making it work.
Don't even know where to begin.
Even willing to lose all my past historic data if need be. The value for me is going forward, not the past decades.
RE: Version 1.5.2 Problems
Hi flipmike! -
Here are a few things:
- What is the path to your OSCAR_Data directory? Is it local to your computer or in the cloud?
- Is one or both user profiles giving you trouble?
- Are you opening the Profile before trying an import?
- Based on the age of the data you tried to import, this could be a problem. I would suggest limiting your import to a year.
- Search the OSCAR_Data → Profiles → YourProfileName → Profiles.xml file for "UserName type=". If this string is empty (<UserName type="QString"></UserName>), enter your profile name between the symbols "><" (<UserName type="QString">YourProfileName</UserName>.
- If all else fails, please create a zipped copy of your SD data card and upload it to the URL below. Make sure to include your Member name and CPAP type in the filename.

RE: Version 1.5.2 Problems
* I can find (looking in the "backup journal" that the path appers to be C:\users\marti\OneDrive\Oscar_Data. If this is via the onedrive, then it is in the cloud.
* Appears to be both profiles. And now it seems I've somehow mixed the profiles. My profile shows my apa AND my wife's APAP. Her profile shows only her APAP.
(I have a devilbiss intellipap, and she has a ResMed Airsense 10 Autoset) Note: I've had zero trouble with my Oscar usage on old version, only on new version. OH...that's when I also put in a profile for my wife who hasn't ever used Oscar. But I think I did that AFTER I was having problems, and trying to see if it made a difference. But just cannot seem to toggle between profiles. (?) )
* Not sure how to answer. I simply click the on-screen Oscar icon, and it comes up. Does ask me if I want to import the file at E:\ where I've plugged in my SD chip. (or hers).
* Agree the volume of data/number of years is excessive. How do I get at this setting!?
* Will try looking again at the User name type. I've tried once, and get to a page of typed lines...MANY typed lines. Will try again.
My member name is: flipmike and I have the Devilbiss Intellipap DV64D. I will try to do a zpped copy and attach shortly.

Red:
I have sent/sending 2 folders. One is the many year version, one is only the last couple of months.
Hope this is what you're asking for, I could not find any "zipped" option.
Thanks

RE: Version 1.5.2 Problems
Reviewed the Oscar_data file. Confirmed my user name is corrrect and showing at the Qstring you mentioned.
I am happy to totally delete all files and Oscar, and start over if that is appropriate. But so I don't end up in the same place again...how do I NOT have Oscar_data do anything with the cloud? I do NOT recall any such choices on loading the new version.
RE: Version 1.5.2 Problems
OK, good! I thought I'd ask. Also, many will attempt to place the data directory in the cloud so they can access it from different computers. The problem with this idea is network communication latency and OSCAR not being designed to handle this.

RE: Version 1.5.2 Problems
This sounds similar to a problem I was having on my laptop yesterday. TL;DR: Going to preferences/General and setting "Graphics Engine" to "DesktopOpenGL" worked for me.
Was at a new sleep doc yesterday and trying to use OSCAR on my gaming laptop while unplugged for the first time since upgrading to the latest version. Got stuck exactly the way you described. Very embarrassing. Went poking in the settings and discovered the graphics engine was set to "software engine," which seemed silly to me given that I have a fancy video card and all. I set it to "DesktopOpenGL" and it fixed the problem instantly. I also discovered that it switches back to "software engine" if I "shift click" on the oscar app in win10 multiple times to run multiple instances. (I have a triple monitor setup at home and can view an overview and multiple individual days at the same time, which is cool but also makes me a little obsessive. :-D ) So I just have to remember to switch back to DesktopOpenGL if I'm trying to use OSCAR on the go. Hope this helps!
RE: Version 1.5.2 Problems
Hurray! Had (only 5 minutes to look at this again)...and doing this change in preferences IMMEDIATELY worked for me.
On the run for the moment, but the only difference seems to be the dates...ie/eg 2036. (?) But I can move the cursor back to 2024, and sure enough there's the data/charts.
RE: Version 1.5.2 Problems
dfunk - Certain computer systems will not start OSCAR using the OpenGL engine. For this reason, we coded in the Shift-Click when starting OSCAR to toggle between OpenGL and Software engines. So every other time you use this key combo, it will be back to the one you wanted.
