After reading about compatibilities between the Wellue and OSCAR it seems there are some hoops I'll have to jump through in order to get the data in OSCAR.
I'm a bit confused about it, actually
Any held would be appreciated!

Wellue Checkme O2 & OSCAR
I'll be getting the Wellue CheckMe 02 in the morning, but I'm wondering if it will be as easy to download the data as easily as my cms50I in SH 0.9.8.1

RE: Wellue Checkme O2 & OSCAR
I have experience with the SleepU which also uses O2Insight Pro and/or ViHealth app on Android. Most people connect the O2 monitor to the PC, but I prefer to download on my phone via Bluetooth, and use the Cloud account, then download the cloud to O2Insight Pro on my computer (almost instantly available with connectivity in my experience). It is possible to get the files from the phone (they are stored locally as well so that you can view without connectivity) but it's a pain, so I prefer O2Insight Pro.
Upper right for direct connection Upper left for cloud download Either way you get the data into O2Insight Pro, you can then point OSCAR to the data files using Data: Import Viatom/Wellue . My data is under C:\Users\Lisa\AppData\Local\O2 Insight Pro\DATA\serial# . The really nice thing is that the data might be broken up into multiple sessions (with the sleepU a new session is started anytime it's off my finger for 10 seconds or more) but still shows as one night in OSCAR, and you can mix up the order of the graphs to see it where you want it. See example below of my last night. You can also "uncheck" entries you want to disregard as part of your night. SpO2, pulse and movement below all came from the SleepU. These are all helpful to see what is going on in CPAP data. In my graph, you can see how the pressure raised after oxygen drops, and that I had better oxygen when wearing the CPAP even for a short break, but the movement shows I was moving a lot (bathroom once and then feeding the cats ) so I probably was holding my breath or breathing shallowly, I'll have to remember that.

RE: Wellue Checkme O2 & OSCAR
Still confused...
Why doesn't OSCAR detect the Wellvue and download it directly? It's gonna take me a week to figure this out I think

RE: Wellue Checkme O2 & OSCAR
I think it's because the Viatom data is a proprietary format and they change the location of the data with no warning. It would be cool if OSCAR detected it, but it would be tricky and bug-prone.
We can help you through it. Are you on a Windows machine or phone or both? My suggestion would be to first figure out the operation of the device. The Checkme can hold lots of data so you can even wear it for a couple of days before you download it, but if it were me I would connect it to the phone right away and worry about getting it into Oscar later. If you don't really do things on a smartphone, let me know and don't worry about the rest, you can go straight to the computer route instead. Here are the steps you can try first from your phone:
Under each session, you'll see an overview graph. You can zoom in or point at a particular point to see it's level. If you want a timestamp for a particular drop, zoom in and then line up the drop with the left edge of your screen, and it will show you the time at the bottom. But the data I find most useful is when I scroll down. The "score" is not very useful. I look at:
There's another screen of data but I didn't screenshot it. You can also export a PDF or photo report using the Share button. It's less than intuitive I'm afraid. But until you get it into OSCAR it gives you something to work with. You can take a screenshot but it won't have all the screens or the date. Let me know how that goes and I can suggest next steps from there.

To add to TechieHippie's post above, if you use a cellular device for data downloading, make sure you have Bluetooth turned on first. You will be required to register your device the first time you run the ViHealth app. There is a serial number (in very small print) on the back of the device. Your O2 Insight Pro app may display this number too.

RE: Wellue Checkme O2 & OSCAR
Not sure about your exact setup, but I import my Wellue data to OSCAR using my iPhone and Mac quite easily. Like so:
1. In the Wellue app, in the "Details" of a night of data, tap the "Share" icon in the top right 2. Select the "binary" option to share, then Air Drop it to my Mac 3. In OSCAR, click "Data" in the top menu bar, and select "Import Viatom/Wellue Data" in the sub menu 4. Select the binary file, and voilà, it's added to OSCAR

RE: Wellue Checkme O2 & OSCAR
A couple of days ago I posted on here my own "incantation" for getting in a position to study the CPAP data and the pulse oximeter data every morning. I will repeat it here in case it helps.
Note though that it is very important to synchronise the times on the 2 devices if you are trying to correlate the data being presented by each one. I have developed my own technique for doing this very accurately. Let me know if you want details of that. Use of Oscar and SleepHQ to study sleep data 1. TRANSFER NEW CPAP DATA TO PC [for use by (a) Oscar & (b) SleepHQ online] * wait at least 1 minute after taking off the mask, to give time for the "ResMed AirSense 10" CPAP machine to write its data to the SD card * turn off the power to the machine and remove the SD card * insert the SD card into an SD card reader and plug the latter into a USB slot on my PC * use Explorer to copy "STR.edf" from the root of the SD card and paste it to "D:\ResMed\SD card" (my clone of the SD card) * also copy last night's new folder under "DATALOG" on the SD card to "D:\ResMed\SD card\DATALOG" * find the "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media" icon and click the SD card's entry there * take the SD card out of the PC and reinsert it into the AirSense 2. TRANSFER NEW OXIMETER DATA TO PHONE [for use by SleepHQ - both app & online] * unplug the Wellue SleepU sensor from the wrist band * after the 10-second countdown has finished, open the ViHealth app on my phone * select the "History" tab and watch as the "Download" window opens [N.B. this ONLY happens if the SleepU has been disconnected from the finger sensor OR a PC in the last few moments, so that the SleepU is showing the "transfer to PC" symbol], then grabs the data, then closes * study the new summary data but then close ViHealth (or it prevents the next step) 3. TRANSFER NEW OXIMETER DATA TO PC [for use by: (a) Oscar; (b) SleepHQ online - but only if you have a Pro subscription] * connect the SleepU wrist band to the PC using the special cable * open "O2 Insight Pro" on the PC and click the "Download" button * study the new summary data 4. TRANSFER NEW CPAP & OXIMETER DATA TO OSCAR * open "Oscar" on the PC * in the "Welcome" tab, click the "CPAP Importer" button; point it at "D:\ResMed\SD card" and let it import the new CPAP data [OR: point it at the actual SD card before taking it out of the PC and let it import from there] * choose "Data > Import Viatom/Wellue Data"; point it at the folder "D:\ResMed\<SleepU-serial-number>" and let it import the Oximeter info from the latest file * study the new CPAP and Oximeter data and charts 5. TRANSFER NEW CPAP DATA TO SLEEPHQ online * on the PC, sign in to SleepHQ online (quite flaky for me, so I haven't felt it worth investing in the Pro account) * in "Data Imports" drop ALL the files and folders from "D:\ResMed\SD card" [yes, ALL, since the dawn of time - but it will actually only upload the ones it doesn't already have] * click "Begin Upload" * if it tells you that any files or folders are missing, which happens constantly, they must have failed to drop properly - so click "Clear Files" and repeat the above 2 steps until it is happy 6. TRANSFER NEW OXIMETER & APPLE WATCH DATA TO SLEEPHQ online * open the SleepHQ app on the phone * it will magically grab the latest local data - i.e.: (a) it will take the latest Apple watch sleep stage data from the phone (b) if you have a Pro account, it will use Bluetooth to grab any data still in the SleepU [the latter only saves the last few days]....assuming it is not still plugged in to the PC! * it will then send this latest local data to the cloud and will display it in the online SleepHQ * it will grab the latest CPAP data from the cloud and display ALL the new data 7. STUDY THE NEW INFO * open Oscar and study just the CPAP and Oximeter charts * open SleepHQ app or online and study the CPAP, Oximeter AND Sleep Stage charts [ * N.B. if the SleepHQ app is running, the SleepU will always show the "bluetoothing to phone" symbol (even if the phone is off!)....otherwise it shows the time and battery state ] The SleepHQ part of this is my guess of how it works, but it's not obvious ....I have asked their support team to confirm my understanding, but they haven't responded.

RE: Wellue Checkme O2 & OSCAR
Big Wing, Nice write up. I shall reference this post in the near future for a new user about to purchase a Pulse/Oximeter.

RE: Wellue Checkme O2 & OSCAR
TechieHippie & Crimson Nape, I want to give both of you recognition for your contributions.
I had visiting relatives who were only staying for a short time and I needed to link them to specific information that Big Wing has laid out for synchronizing the Wellue Pulse/Oximeter products to OSCAR. Now for the demoralizing part of the story, My cousin got back to me to explain that my aunt, soon to be 88 years old and is fully computer knowledgeable is only interested in computer use for World of War(a role playing game) and Ancestry (a genealogy site) and will probably never use the information I provided. Brewskie, Keep asking the questions. we need the questions in order to know what knowledge to share. My back ground is Military and Industrial Automation, without the people asking the questions, I would not be forced to dig deeper in to this application of measurement and control. So that I may contribute to the community knowledge of interfacing Pulse/Oximeter data into OSCAR. It bothered me that Insight O2 Pro had the color Red for SpO2 and Blue for Pulse, but OSCAR was exactly opposite color designation. So knowing that OSCAR is a very powerful software program I found I could change the color of the displayed Pulse/Oximeter graphs as follows. File>Preferences>Waveforms>Oximeter Waveforms> then double click on the color box for Pulse or Oximeter, and it opens up the color palet so you can choose the color you would like displayed in the OSCAR graphs. |
