RE: When to replace mask cushion?
I started using my present Wisp mask March 29, 2013 and I will replace the mask cushion today.
I use how well the mask cushion seals as my main criteria as to when to replace. It is a subjective measure though. RE: When to replace mask cushion?
Nasal pillows seem to last a long time. It's whatever they are hooked to that breaks down first. With the Breeze, the padding on the headgear would come off. That's when I replaced the entire thing. Not sure what I'll do with the one I have now. I miss my Breeze.

RE: When to replace mask cushion?
Don't know if you have tried Remzzzz liners or a something similar product, Zonk. but one added benefit I found with them is that I don't have to replace my cushions as often. /Jeff/
To err is human, but to really mess things up, you need a computer.

RE: When to replace mask cushion?
6 months is generally the recommendation, as far as I know. But I still keep the old ones around, just in case I need a spare.

RE: When to replace mask cushion?
I got a year out of the last mask cushion for my Mirage Activa. I can't stand a dirty mask cushion, so I use a combination of Dawn dishwashing liquid, baking soda, and Control III disinfectant to clean it. I was still able to get it looking, working, and feeling almost like new until about a month before I threw it out, but it took more and more effort to get it that way. I gave up on it when it picked up a sweaty smell that I couldn't get rid of.

RE: When to replace mask cushion?
I can only get about two months out of them until they get too flimsy to hold a good seal. I've tried everything to firm them back up, but nothing seems to work.

RE: When to replace mask cushion?
I have had my Mirage Quattro for two years and still get a good seal, as Airstream was saying I use my own homemade mask liners and wash the mask twice a week. I actually went to my Sleep Specialist this morning for my yearly check up and he has talked me into trying the Quattro Air when it comes to Australia in about a month. I would love to change cushions and all accessories as much as you guys in the US but unfortunately we have to pay for most things ourselves so need to hang onto them as long as possible.

I get cushions and CPAP supplies from supplier # 10, lots of savings even with recent collapse of the Aussie dollar |
