RE: AirSense 11: Now have SD card in it
If I put an SD card in the Airsense 11, will it save data to it and still transmit data to the provider? I'm curious to see what my machine says but don't want to disrupt what my Dr would see. I'm new and only on day 2 of cpap therapy.
Thanks

sandrshe,
Yes, the AirSense 11 will write data to the SD card. You should download OSCAR and use the SD card to import date to OSCAR. The SD card has nothing to do with transmitting data to your provider. That is separate from the what your provider uses. Your provider uses a program called AirView to transmit data to your doctor, if your doctor is set up to receive it.

Not a problem. The SD card must be in the machine overnight to collect all the data,. After the sleep session(s) some further statistics are saved on the card. The statistics are also saved internally to be transmitted to the ResMed servers where the doctor can access them. The presence or absence of the SD card makes no difference to the data transmitted. In fact, the SD card has much more data than the doctor will see unless you give him (a copy of!) your card.

Back when I did photography, I used a WiFi adapter SD card that automatically sent the images to my laptop. Can we use that here? I hate taking my SD card out, importing, ejecting from PC, and then putting it back. My office, where my computer is, and my bedroom are on opposite ends of the house. Haha.

Yes, the ones that are compatible with the file transfer processes are limited. The only WiFi SD Card I'm aware of that works, is the Toshiba (Now Kioxia) Flash Air, which is what I and most other CPAP users use for WiFi CPAP data transfer. Unfortunately FlashAirs are out of production, very difficult to find and *very* expensive.

Those Wi-Fi adaptor's code is written specifically to only recognize image type file suffixes. There is a thread here where someone was able to hack the newer version of the EZ-Share Wi-Fi card.
Link to: [EzShare SDcard wifi] Script to autodownload thread The only Wi-Fi card that actually works is the now discontinued Toshiba FlashAir card. Their prices have skyrocketed since Toshiba sold that division. I recently found some 16GB W-03 versions on eBay for $65 USD. Other places are asking mega bucks, up to $275 USD per card. The W-03 version was replaced by the W-04 at the last. The 16GB W-03 version is the exact card I have been using for the past 7 years. - Red

The ones I used to use were Eye Fi Pro, but do we know why some work and some don't? Is there a compilation thread where there's a list of what has been tried, works/don't work?
Thanks for the link and I remember seeing it before, just didn't read it all.

RE: AirSense 11: Now have SD card in it
In an attempt to try and find a workaround, I have purchased (I believe) every model of Wi-Fi card on the market. Bottom line; No Joy! They are all set up to download image formatted files only. Every once in a while, when I'm bored, I try to see if I can hack the firmware on one to see if mods could be made. As you can tell, I have not been successful. There is a Wi-Fi SD card for 3D printers that I have had limited success with. Its name is FYSETC. It is a Wi-Fi based SD board that accepts a micro-SD card. It not without it warts, however. Moderate to advance computer skills are required to get this puppy up and running. This alone makes it a non-starter for our purpose.
Shortcut link to the FYSETC thread. - Red
