help with resmed aircurve 10 asv settings
Hi all can someone tell me which setting i need to change (if possible)

my understanding is that the asv blows a low constant stream of air then bumps the pressure up when i breathe in , which setting is it that changes the low constant stream of air ? - mine seems to be low and its making me claustrophobic.

many thx

Without any data this is just an overview. Resmed starting standard protocol is:
EPAP 5
Min PS 3
Max PS 15

If this is too low you can raise the Min PS.

I’ve raised my EPAP for flow limitation reasons. Raising the EPAP will automatically raise the Min and Max IPAP.

John

Edit added: An ASV adjusts to your breathing pattern and event. Exhale is generally lower and the inhale pressure is synched to your breathing and increases to a pressure needed for an event.

RE: help with resmed aircurve 10 asv settings
Tell us what settings you are running, and be sure to update your profile to reflect this please.

We need to know which mode you are running: CPAP, ASV, ASV Auto

Pressure settings: EPAP Min if in ASV, Min and Max if ASV Auto and then PS Min and Max

IPAP is machine calculated automatically by at the time EPAP and PS, you cannot set IPAP directly.

You're probably going to need to adjust EPAP or EPAP Min depending on run mode.

Post a few OSCAR charts for data interpretation as well. It helps to have the data when making pressure adjustments.

RE: help with resmed aircurve 10 asv settings
This is the titration protocol for the Resmed Aircurve 10 ASV.  You can request the clinical manual from the forum that explains many details about the machine.  Without seeing any charts, I bet you are in ASV mode, but need to be in ASVauto mode so that the EPAP automatically adjusts rather than stays static.  Recommended starting settings for ASV auto are:
Mode: ASVauto
EPAP min: 5.0
EPAP max 15.0
PS min 3.0
PS max 15.0
