RE: Resmed Aircurve 10 ASV: Central Apnea Not Relieved
Turns out that I can stack pillows on top of a wedge to elevate my body well above the wedge itself, and get results while sleeping on my back that are as good or better as I get lying flat on my back or left side with NO elevation at all (no wedge or extra pillows). It's only intermediate elevations (wedge alone) that result in ragged breathing. This solves my problem pretty well, finally. I'm attaching Oscar output for a typical night. That sleep session left me well rested all day, and most importantly, did NOT cause the backaches that result from sleeping flat with no elevation of my upper body.
So if anybody else runs into such problems, don't give up. Try an even higher elevation.
I'm not going to close the thread, but I do consider it solved at this point!
