If Dawn can save waterfowl, it's good enough to clean my nasal cushions. Here's the deal. Only you use your equipment, and you won't give yourself a disease. I have not cleaned a tube in many years as they are replaced every 6-months and there is nothing there. The only things I actually clean are the humidifier tray as needed, and the mask cushion. I use Dawn because it works, and I rinse everything at the kitchen sink. I have been doing this since 2008 and never had a sanitation issue with equipment. My last machine lasted over 24000 hours. Don't sweat the small things. Get comfortable and do what makes common sense.

24000 divided by 8 = 3,000 days
3,000 days divided by 365 is 8.2 years!

Sleeprider is correct .. I have been doing the same thing with palmolive
dish detergent .. My equipment supplier gives Me a new Climate Line, 
water reservior, and 4 masks once a year .. I have never had a problem
with mold, mildew or water deposits ..

After 8 years of self treatment this is basically my cleaning routine too. I just use a cpap spray with a baby wipe to clean the mask cushion and inside the elbow every morning, take out the humidifier water chamber, wash it out with hot water and a drop of dawn, rinse it, then air dry. Put it back in with filtered/distill water before bed and that's it. I don't clean the hose and have never had buildup or dirt or anything inside of it ever.. I also take apart my machines motor air chambers and check them occasionally, and have never seen anything to be concerned about

The water in my area is vile, heavily chlorinated and leaves spots everywhere. Even my dog won’t drink it (I filter his in a PUR pitcher). There’s no way I’d be subjecting my nasal passages to tap water! Besides, my doc has warned against tap water for sinus rinses because of the documented risk of introducing a fatal infection to the brain (evidently, the blood brain barrier isn’t as robust in the nasal passages as elsewhere), so I’m assuming the risk would be similar for CPAP.
I have considered using water I boil in the kettle for my biPAP: I use boiled water for sinus rinses, since the chlorine seems to gas off, and the minerals seem to cleave to the kettle, plus boiling sterilizes it.

yeah well the specs are BS. While i've never seen the Air10 there are youtube videos taking them apart. the 11 has a MUCH smaller blower motor which is the same as the AirMini. I'm so glad they decided to save money on parts inventory! They did add 3 small pieces of noise abatement foam but that's not going to compensate for a ~30% smaller motor. smaller blower means it has to rev much higher to push the same amount of air = more noise. My phone records 45-50 dB on 9cmH2O and 50cm (16") from the machine when INHALING, so it's not the exhaust port that's noisy it's the blower pushing air.

they probably did the spec sheet at 1cm pressure or some other BS to make it look better on paper than it is.

Thank you very much for your cleaning routines, I am glad to know it isn't as involved as I thought yesterday. Thanks, HalfAsleep for the point about tap water rinsing, the water in my area is extremely HARD. Our fixtures look like hell after only a few months, I'll be sure to have plenty of pure water for cleaning on hand.

@Sleeprider "humidifier tray" as needed? Is that a weekly clean?  What about the elbow joint on the top of the F30i, not sure if you have experience with that mask.  I saw some videos where people were cleaning daily, is weekly good enough on that as well?

I'm trying to get my thoughts together to report on how the first night went.  It was rough for the most part.  I just gutted through it to hopefully get as much data as possible on that SD card.  The my air app hasn't updated yet, so I'm not sure if I have to wait long to pull the SD card for Oscar or not.

I dump water daily and clean if there is any visible residue. The new Airsense 10 humidifier chamber with the round stainless steel heat-transfer seems to stay clean forever. Elbow joints containing a vent can be cleaned similar to the cushions, but needs to be dried or may hold moisture. I would clean weekly. Based on your description of the first night, you have not found the EPR feature yet. I'll wait to see your settings and results.
