RE: Airsense 10 Autoset: Nasal vs Pillows setting
So what happens if you are using a non Resmed mask? I have the Dreamwear which can be a nasal mask or I can insert pillows.

With the Dreamwear nasal it doesn't make that much difference between pillows or nasal setting. If your using pillows with the Dreamwear you want to use the pillow setting.

Please post the link (manufacturers' site links are OK) to that information. I think ResMed is sometimes lax in updating their websites, but, of course, updating the manuals takes even longer.

The pillow setting must have been an error. Thankyou for this link you have provided but it is for the full face mask, an F20 and that should be set as a mask type full face. The original discussion was about the nasal mask the N20 and as far as I know the manual for that mask still says set the mask type as pillows and not Nasal. Regards Jason

anybody? What about airsense 11?
I have phillips resporonics dreamwear, it rests below the nose but is one big hole, so I don’t know if its pillows or a nasal mask. Does the setting even matter,

I would set it to the mask that your DreamWear most closely resembles, the N30i. When using an N30i, you set the ResMed Air11 to Pillow.

Nasal masks don't cover the mouth. One type of nasal mask is nasal pillows. Quote:Does the setting even matter, Probably not. It just changes the pressure slightly, and since you have a machine that auto-adjusts the pressure, it will compensate.

The setting most likely affects the amount of intended leakage.
