RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure?
You have too many apnea events related to OSA.
The treatment for OSA is pressure so you need more pressure.
You are limiting the machine to 13.
It is possible that increasing the minimum to 13 will be enough to help you.
Otherwise you need to increase the maximum limit.
Ideally the max should be high enough so that it is out of play. Limiting it impedes treatment so it should only be done as a last resort.

RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure?
Other than May 31, your AHI is always less than 2 and completely under control, just as it was in mid-May. Nothing has changed, and if you increase your pressure, you will have to deal with the higher pressure because your flow limits will put you there most of the time. That is why we elected to set a maximum pressure lower than what full-open auto pressure would provide. Your situation is completely predictable and acceptable. This thread began in February with you at a pressure of 11.4 to 16 and your sleep quality and you said: "The last 3 nights show again that my 95% pressure is close to max setting".
Sound familiar? Quit looking at the stupid data and listen to how you feel, or listen to Ted and make your max pressure 20 and I suspect your 95% pressure may be lower than your maximum.
RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure?
Thanks for your comments. I guess you are right and should just concentrate on comfort. Only thing is the pressure wakes me up at times and was just looking for some advice on this so I could get more restful sleep.
RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure?
Would increasing the epr to 3 do anything to reduce flow limitations? If so should my pressures be change? Just looking for a little more comfort, thanks.
RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure?
You want to increase your minimum by 1 cm if you increase your EPR to 3. Yes increasing EPR can help with flow limitations.
RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure?
Thanks WW. Would I increase my max pressure if I am increasing my min by1 and epr to 3? I am just trying to get more comfort as the high pressure wakes me up then I have to turn the machine off and start again.
Thank you for all your advice and time. I know my ahi is very good again trying to get comfortable and sleep a full night.

RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure?
I think you can add EPR and see how it works out. With your current settings of 10 to 13, your pressur range would be 10/7 to 13/10. I'm not sure changing minimum pressure upwards would make much difference at 11/8 to 13/10, but we won't know until you give it a shot.
RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure?
Ok SR I will increase my min to 11 and leave my max at 13 with epr of 3. Will post data and see what happens.
I understand the result of 11/8 but am confused how the resultant ipap becomes 13/10. I thought epr just reduces your epap by that amount. If you would explain I would appreciate it as I seem to be confused.
Thanks for your expertise.

RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure?
When I express pressure with a slash, it means IPAP/EPAP. So without pressure changes your range is 10/7 to 13/10. If you increase minimum pressure it is 11/8 to 13/10...not much difference. I use this shorthand and sometimes forget to explain it. This is a pretty standard way of expressing bilevel pressures, which is a bit unusual when we're talking a bout CPAP. As long as we're at it, if you were on an Aircurve Vauto, we would simply write this as PS 3 over 8 to 10, or EPAP min 8 to EPAP max10 with PS 3.
RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure?
Got it. Thanks for your explanation.
