RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure?
How are you feeling with the new machine. I see a higher pressure support ha reduced flow limitation slightly, but not a big difference in AHI. Events seem to have moved away from hypopnea towards CA. Other than that, I don't see a significant difference.
RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure?
It's early but so far I feel I feel good with my new machine. Fl are better but when they do rise then obstructions result. Does increasing the min epap counter the effects of the increase in fl thereby reducing the OA's? Just want to do everything I can to improve the quality of my sleep. Thanks SR.
RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure?
With the Vauto, pressure support counters flow limits, but go slowly, or you might get CA instead.

Thanks, now I know. Will take it easy now and stick with my current settings for a while and see where it takes me. Will check back with you soon. You have taught me so much and I want you to know it's appreciated.

RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure?
So I have been on my new vauto for 3 weeks. I really like the feeling of exhaling a lot better compared to my autoset . I am still waking up tired and feel that I should raise the epap slightly. Last night I had 17 obstructions and the CA'S have seem to be under control I think.
Please give me advice as to how to proceed. I am wearing a cervical collar each night and am getting the leaks to be under control. I have various screenshots to share.
Thanks as always.
RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure?
I still see a positional apnea where clusters of OA or H events occur. On good nights, your median pressure is equal to the minimum settings, which suggest good titration and minimal disruption from pressure changes. On the two nights with some larger clusters, the median pressure is rising 0.6-cm. In my opinion, higher pressure will not help, but it's your therapy, and if you're comfortable at higher pressure, then feel free to try it. I would be more inclined to raise pressure support to 9.4 and leave the rest alone.
RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure?
You mean raise pressure support from 4 to 9.4? If I am using a cervical collar is there anything else that can help with the clusters?
