RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure?
Yes it would be the same as S mode but it allows you to receive flow limitation and snore data. You could try reducing the maximum IPAP to 90% but if your having problems with the pressure now I suspect you'll need to go lower.

I reduced my ps from 4.4 to 4.2. I know it is usually ps that helps with this problem but I felt that trying to reduce ipap would help,I'm not sure if this is correct.
Can someone please recommend a solution to this problem. Thanks to all I am almost there!
Your numbers are awesome. for the aerophagia lets slowly lower your min pressure of 9.8 to 9.4, no more than .4 at a time. Let it sit for 3 days minimum then evaluate. This change is solely based on your aerophagia and how you feel about it.

RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure?
Thanks Fred,I am a little confused though. Isn’t it the ipap that is causing the problem?
RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure?
Also Fred if I lower the minimum epap to 9.4 for the next few days do I leave the maximum ipap and pressure support the same as I presently have it?
Thanks for your help .
RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure?
Leave everything else the same. Make only one change at a time, That way there is no question what impacted the change. The several days is to make sure that a single day is not a fluke either way. It is highly likely we may lower your max IPAP as well. It is a MAX limit not an actual IPAP pressure.
ALL your active pressures are based on EPAP, IPAP = EPAP + PS. Since your numbers are very low we may very well see your IPAP numbers follow your EPAP down.

RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure?
Dropping the minimum EPAP won't help if the pressure goes up anyway. You have to also reduce the maximum pressure for relief. there are times you have to make more than one change and this is one of them.
RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure?
Well for the past 3 days I reduced my min epap from 9.8 to 9.4. Also reduced my max ipap from 17.6 to 17.2. I still am suffering from aerophagia. According to statistics the past 30 days my 90% ipap was 15.96.
Please advise what settings I could use to reduce this aerophagia.
Thanks
RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure?
Just to add that I am sleeping much better despite the aerophagia. But I have to solve this issue so I can get even better sleep.
RE: seems like I need to raise max pressure?
Try EPAP min 8.4, IPAP max 16.0 at PS 4.2
