If I did my math remotely right I am 6 feet 3 inches and weight 175 pounds my tital volume should be around 80 https://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread...ght-weight well it not is closer to 300 so help me something wrong clearly. No wonder my sleep sh**ty, help

A couple of things.

In Oscar, your median pressure is the one where half of your pressures are above that and half below it. The 95% pressure means that that 95% of the time you were at or UNDER that pressure. The 99.5% pressure means that 99.5% of the time you were at or UNDER that pressure. So don't change your pressure to 12.8.

I'm not sure how you calculated your tidal volume, but your numbers should be somewhere in the 300s or 400s. Yours is fine. (Maybe the conversions from pounds and inches to metric measures threw things off.)

I see in SleepHQ that you tried EPR for only two nights. What led you to turn it back off?

I feel like I have gotten to the point where i realize I need to stick with cpap as autopack just makes me feel horrible disterbes my sleep more and makes me feel like I am starving for oxygen but i have no idea what settings I should use can someone who is a pro look at my sleep data and give me a starting point because at this point I feel like I am just guessing 13 no 12 no 10 no 9 no 13 and so on doesn't work and I can't think because I have to many emotions attached to my sleep/ feers I just need to set it and forget about it but I know if I trust myself to get the original pressure I won't leave it. Your Tidal Volume is fine.

Remember that you want to titrate a fixed pressure that you will probably be on for many many years. (I am still on the pressure that I titrated with this following protocol 10 years ago).

I would go the CPAP route with a fixed pressure anywhere between your median and 95% pressure to begin with. So let's say start with 10cm pressure. Keep EPR to zero like you currently have. If the initial pressure is too overwhelming then do an initial ramp starting with 7cm.

Stay on this pressure for a week. See how you feel. And check the estimated REM sleep on sleephq. And correlate.

After a week, increase CPAP pressure by 0.5cm. Stay on it for a week. And then see how you feel.

Continue this process until you feel really good and refreshed in the morning.

Also, take other steps to improve your sleep hygiene. Some of them are:
1. Be in bed at same time every night.
2. Be in bed for 8+ hours.
3. No blue/white lights for the last 2-3 hours of your wake period pre-sleep.
4. No food for last 2-3 hours of your wake period pre-sleep.
5. No alcohol for 4 hours pre-sleep. Ideally, no alcohol at all.

I have tried a constant pressure of 10 for the last couple of nights I now feel like I am starving for air. Last night was horrible I CAN'T KEEP going like this the sleep deprivation is getting to my head please help.  https://sleephq.com/public/teams/share_l...cd8dc5ead6

I'd like to suggest you do a re-set. For one week, stop using the machine at night. Instead, set it up outside your bedroom and use it for at least two hours during the day or evening while you read, watch TV, listen to music, or use your devices. This may help to normalize the experience.

I've asked several times about EPR but you haven't really addressed this so far. You have a lot of flow limitations, which may be affecting your sleep. The best way to address flow limitations is to use EPR. I recommend that during your re-set period, you use a constant pressure of 10 with EPR of 3. After two days, let us know what that's like for you.
