RE: Resmed Airsense 10 initial values advice
AHI of 0.87 is rather good. Did you feel refreshed @sunlight?

I definitely feel better than the night before, although I'm cautious about placing too much value on my sense of an individual night's sleep. I log how refreshed I feel, amongst other things, in a sleep diary so that I can identify patterns over time. For example I found that eating a light meal in the evening correlated with feeling better the next morning, not every time but most of the time. Now I try to eat light meals in the evening as a matter of course.

I do have it now yes. But i needed to order a humidifier and a heated hose as I could not stand the cold dry air blasted into my nostrils. Hoping it gets delivered today. ResMed have a weird delivery system, the whole thing was frustrating to be honest. I called them as soon as they opened and asked if they could switch my online order to next day delivery. The lady on the other end informed me 'It's in the warehouse, but I don't like to disturb them as they get agitated'. Sure, you don't want your business being bothered by customers wanting to give you money. I ended up having to make a duplicate order (the same items twice) but with the second set as next day delivery. Got to the next day, no items, called up unhelpful orders women again and got told it was coming on Saturday, as the easily upset warehouse people had not sent the item out until late in the evening. Moral of the story, ResMed UK are useless, will use a different supplier next time. Sorry for the rant, but I was really hoping to get it last night, so sitting here right now sleep deprived. ugh, hopefully the climate hose and humidifier arrive today and I can kick off a thread and start getting things dialed in!

@stanleyjack Ah that sucks. It sounds like the Resmed UK team are a fairly small outfit. I bought the bundle kit up front which includes the humidifier because I had an awful time with dry throat with the Sefam. The standard postage was Royal Mail which took a bit longer than expected to arrive due to the ongoing industrial action. Fingers crossed you get all your gear soon!

RE: sunlight titration thread
Third night with the AS10. First night with soft cervial collar to try to address open mouth. I did measure the collar but had it fastened a bit too tight at the start. Felt quite claustrophobic with the full mask, too. Woke up a few times to loosen off the collar and still found I had a bit of leak around my beard even with the mask quite tight and mouth closed under higher pressure condition. Feel a bit tired today with a slightly sore neck. On the bright side the oximeter showed I only spent 6s <90%. Will give it another go tonight with nasal pillows to see if that helps.
Wondering whether I should stay on this 7-20 EPR3 configuration or try to tweak things at all?

RE: sunlight titration thread
Second night with the soft cervical collar. Switched to Resmed AirFit P30i mask in an ongoing effort to tackle leaks which appears to have paid off at the expense of my nostrils feeling awful this morning. Still getting used to the collar with a bit of a sore neck but it's bearable. Oximeter data looked particularly good with 0s < 90% and I feel fairly rested today.
The next thing I'm planning to tackle is hose placement. The only times I felt the P30i mask tugging was when the tube exiting at the top of my head was snagging between the top of the mattress and the headboard. I think it should be possible to design some sort of strain relief for the hose that holds it from above the headboard.
RE: sunlight titration thread
I managed to MacGyver a temporary hose support using elastic affixed to my headboard that has virtually eliminated the headgear tugging from the top of my head. Also picked up some Ayr Saline Nasal Gel which has helped calm the nostril irritation from the P30i. I found that the headband for the P30i would slip up on the back of my head (I'm a long haired guy) but putting my hair through the gap between the silicone tubing and headband helped keep the mask in place.
My leak rate is now very low, although I didn't get the best night's sleep with trouble dropping off and waking up a few times in the night. Feeling a bit groggy today. Not really sure how to interpret the data I'm getting. Should I adjust the pressure or keep going with things as they are?
RE: sunlight titration thread
Still getting on quite well with the P30i. Managed to loosen it off a bit and still maintain a good seal. Nostrils also less irritated with repeated use.
The soft cervical collar has been giving me some neck pain so decided to try the Knightsbridge Dual Band Chin Strap last night for the first time. I couldn't find a method of adjustment that would prevent it from sliding forward on my head with the top of the strap head cover ending up in my eyes so ended up taking it off within an hour or so in bed. It seems to be a similar problem to the P30i headgear insofar as it relies on the curvature of the back of the skull as an anchor for its rear strap to keep it in place. I don't have a pronounced rear skull and also have a lot of long hair so there's nothing to hold onto, the head strap just slides upwards from the rear. At least with the P30i I'm able to place my hair on top of the rear strap to keep it in place but there's no way to do this with the Knightsbridge chin strap because it's one piece of fitted cloth that covers your head. I'm still struggling to interpret the data I'm getting from OSCAR to identify patterns that would allow me to make adjustments to my therapy. I've zoomed in on some events from last night and think they show I possibly had my mouth open at the time based on the leak rate?

RE: sunlight titration thread
Your leak rate is good and the Flow Limitation is better, but being that you are already using the maximum EPR of 3, I think you could easily move your minimum pressure to 8cm which is closer to your median pressure.
That should help with any residue FL and Hypopnea and may help with Obstructives as by raising the minimum pressure, your Epap will be higher too. EPAP is what splints the airway open.
