Back at it after a few years

Back at it after a few years
Good day all.  I was prescribed a CPAP many years ago after sleep issues.  I used it a bit but never really got used to it so had given up.

I've recently gone back to being miserable, waking myself up gasping for air, etc.  Figured I'd dust up the good old Resmed Airsense 10 and give it another try.

I've used my old numbers, but comparing my graphs to what they were 5 years ago, things seem to have changed a bit.  Granted, I've gained weight, and... well am 5 years older.

All this to say, anything jumping at anyone looking at these graphs?  Could my numbers/settings be improved?  (The spike at ~1:30am is me stopping the machine for a bathroom break and starting it again).

Welcome Back!

I believe your minimum pressure should be 10cm (may need a bit higher), and for now leave the max pressure as is. Will keep watch on the Rera's.

Flow limitation is too high, but you are already using the highest EPR setting to help with that, so the only way to go is by raising pressure.

Minimum set at 10 or 10.5
Maximum set at 16. (May need to raise in time.)
EPR set at 3 (full time)

Have you considered replacing your pap machine? You may benefit from using a Bipap.

Thanks for the response.  I have gone ahead and increased the Min value to 10.4.  Breathing definitely felt better last night.  I'll go with it for a few nights and post updated graphs.

As for switching to Bipap, I'm just going with what was given to me years ago when I did my sleep study.  If it turns out I need a bipap, I'll gladly go through the ordeal of trying to see my doctor, get a prescription, do another sleep study, etc.  Our health system sucks!

Can you post a 3 minute segment from somewhere between 00:00 and 00:20 on your first chart? There's a suspicious area in there we can check for mouth breathing/palatal prolapse patterns.

I sure can!  Here are 3 x 3 minutes sections of 00:00 to 00:20.

Just thought I'd post an updated snapshot after using the machine for a while.

Am I right to think things have improved quite a lot?

Looks a lot better, and just an increase in minimum pressure. Nice.
