[CPAP] Oscar Data after pressure adjustment
#1
Oscar Data after pressure adjustment
I have adjusted the lower threshold to 7 cm and EPR to 2,

I still feel bad/tired/sleepy, and the data shows many unrecognized/missed apnea/hypopnea events. Many of the events are mini-apnea (7 to 15 seconds).

all the recognized and recorded events are CA

changing the lower threshold caused super-level bloating that I had not experienced when the pressure was lower

there seem to be many leaks, but I can adjust the mast fit tonight and solve those.

any advice is welcome.

Yes, I think you would be helped by using EPR.  If it is not set - set it to full time EPR3.  That will make your exhale the same as it was before moving the min up.  Exhale = the min - EPR.  so exhale would be 4 and the inhale would be 7.(4 is the lowest your pap machine can go)

RE: Oscar Data after pressure adjustment
If this were the only chart I saw, the most recent posted, I would adjust my pressure - and not change anything else.

I would say the flow limitations are reasonable, tidal and minute volume is good (enough) and CAs are minimized. There were no OAs or Hs.

Just looking at the pressure curves, the pressure never reduces below 8 before the machine jacks it up again.

I would increase the min pressure to 8.2 and max pressure to 11.2 and keep NO EPR.

You did not have EPR set to full time from what your pressure chart shows. Setting it as I suggested EPR full time EPR 3 will help your machine to stay at a lower pressure. The ResMed raises pressure when it finds flow limit. Flow limits are apnea also just like O an H event - FL just don’t last long enough (10 seconds) to be classified or put onto the AHI.   PLEASE give it a try, it will help you.

RE: Oscar Data after pressure adjustment
I agree.  You need to use EPR full-time, set at 3.  I agree with raising your start pressure to 8.2, but I'd leave the upper pressure where it is.
