Can Someone Look over my sleep study results
I dont feel that my sleep is normal, i never feel refreshed or rested during sleep, and wake up feeling not great. I also have aossue where i bassicly cannot wake up to any sort of alarms or anything for the matter, my roomate tried waking me up by shaking me for a few minutes but it didnt wake me up. I know that i have a narrow maxilla, recessed maxilla, and a devoated septum + cartillage collapse

RE: Can Someone Look over my sleep study results
My impression is a low to normal AHI that does not meet the criteria for sleep apnea therapy without comorbid conditions. Events are predominately central with CA and H events and a very very very long hypopnea at 05:15 that should have been remarked on by the clinic. The arousal index of 12.4 is high (arousal every 4.8 minutes on average) Respiratory arousal was very low at less than 1/hour. Oxygen saturation is "normally" good but 6.08% of total sleep time below 88% SaO2 (29.5 minutes) suggests you may need further evaluation for supplemental oxygen or for the exceptional hypopnea at the end of the night.

Your problems with oxygen saturation do not appear to be related to an obstructive respiratory condition, but are certainly a concern. In addition your high arousal rate will make sleep unsatisfactory, and this study did not shed much light on the cause of that. Please do not consider my impressions or opinions of your study a diagnosis or anything other than a pointer for talking points between you and your doctor(s).

Fireman, do YOU think PAP therapy might help? We can look at the data from a CPAP machine like the Resmed Airsense 10 or 11 and see what is going on, breath-by-breath. We get statistics like the usual AHI, but we also see respiratory stats like tidal volume, minute vent, respiratory rate, flow limitation and other useful information. Your sleep study shows no obstructive issues, but there are issues. Your first post mostly cites things a dentist or ENT might observe. What would help a lot is to see the actual detailed PSG traces from your sleep study. Your doctor, or you could request those records and there is likely information there that did not make it into the summary of observations and statistics. A sleep study is only as good as the person that interprets the detailed data, and most are only scored for obstructive sleep apnea.

Be sure your Airsense 10 Elite has a SD card from 4 to 32 GB in the card slot on the left side. You can download the free OSCAR software and post charts to the forum that will let us dig into your therapy and give you suggestions or identify problems. Keep in touch.
