RE: DreamStation Go Users [consolidated replacement & compensation info & questions]
FWIW........ I received a Respironics DS2 in October of 2021 as a replacement for the recalled DS1 (about 4 months after I filed for the replacement). I have not owned a DS Go or other similar compact CPAP. In the beginning I was skeptical of the DS2 due to the recall of the DS1, but over the time I've had the DS2 it's done well at keeping my AHI numbers low and have had no issues with it (and absolutely nothing ever noticed in the water tray such as particle matter). It is quiet and sits about a foot and half from my head on a night stand and I don't hear it. The button to start and stop works reliably and the menu is easy one you get the hang of it. The only small complaint is the hose comes out the front and water tray at the rear (relative to the display screen). I've turned the unit around so the hose exits in a way that it goes behind the bed headboard and up to a hook. The water tray is now to the front so it's more easily accessible with the reverse orientation. The data from the DS2 imports into OSCAR the same as my DS1 did. Third party filters are cheap and easy to find if needed.
I did purchase a low hours Resmed AS10 Auto to have as a backup and possible travel machine. I tried it for a few weeks to ensure it worked. Set it the same as my DS2 and did tweak the settings as well to try and optimize it. While it achieved low AHI numbers like the DS2, it's therapy was a bit aggressive with the pressures (tended to blow the FF mask out). The AS10 Auto and subsequent AS11 are well regarded, but when it comes time to replace the DS2 it's a tossup if I'll stay with a Respironics offering or go with a ResMed, as a present I have no major complaints about the DS2.
While there are some bad opinions of Respironics due to the way it was handled (which I believe may have been much exacerbated by the record keeping or lack of of by DME's), it would be a sure death wish for the Philips CPAP line to put a replacement CPAP on the market that potentially could have problems. How far does $500 get you towards a compact CPAP that has a decent feature set and quiet? Having used the DS2 my choice would clearly be the DS2 rather that the $500. It would be interesting how may DS Go users got a DS2 as a replacement and not a DS1.

I just want this to end.
Never received a QR code this morning so I called into the main Philips Recall call center 877-907-7508. All they did was re-enter my information into their system and when No QR code was generated, had me call into a different number that was referenced in the Patient portal after you elect the payment option: 1-833-262-1871. I was directed to select option 3, then option 1.
After I explained to the second call center person (who was somewhere in Asia) that I was trying to generate a QR code, and NOT a shipping label, they generated a shipping label anyway. So now I had to pack up the DSG before heading out to FedEx.
I just want this to be over. Hopefully I get the full $500 but the vague wording in the email last night leaves with m some doubt.
RE: DreamStation Go Users [consolidated replacement & compensation info & questions]
I also did not receive a QR code, so I re-entered my info and generated a label. Now let's see if I actually receive a check.
RE: DreamStation Go Users [consolidated replacement & compensation info & questions]
I went to the patient portal today and it would not recognize my Confirmation code. I called the number, got disconnected once, called again, and got a reasonably competent customer service person. Looking at my record she said you have a "very long zip code." Apparently, Philips had parsed my Zip+4 into one long number. Once I entered the long number it worked. As others have noted I never received the QR code, and the rep told me to call tomorrow as the QR office was closed. So, I tried it again tonight at 8pm PDT and it worked. Got a QR code a minute later in my e-mail. I just want my $500 and be done with it. It has already been over two years. Philips replaced my DS1 with a DS2 sometime ago and I'm quite happy with the DS2 device. So, try the QR code a couple of times to see if it works, or you can call to get the code generated and mailed to you. I don't really feel like packing this up and I have a FedEx office near to me that will do the work.

Going to update this post with future reference dates.
MFG date: April-May 2019. Email said $500, as did the patient portal.
I selected Option 1 the night the email came out and generated a FedEx label on the portal myself (because I live 2 hours away from the nearest FedEx Office). Packed, boxed, and dropped off at Walgreens yesterday (7/6) and should be at the Ohio facility by Monday as per the current FedEx updates in the network.

Another downside is that the DS2 requires distilled water while the DS Go does not. I don't understand what it is about the DS Go design that is so different as to be able to use tap water, but hey, it's nice (soon to be "was nice") to not have to worry about buying distilled water when traveling or ended up with enough mineral deposits to foul up the machine. That plus the power brick are enough to make me not consider the DS2 as a travel machine... then again, the alternatives - the Air Mini and the Transcend Micro - both have the power brick too.

The humidifier manual basically tells you to fully wash the water tank daily for mold/mildew. They also have a section on "maintenance" that includes vinegar cleaning to remove deposits and scaling.
That's it, that's the gag. If you did the exact same maintenance daily you could be running tap water in any CPAP. They assume you're using this for travel only and not as a full-time home machine so that's also where they're getting away with this - you're using it for a couple nights, then cleaning it and tucking it back away.
As a general recall update, from my side: Philips received my DS Go yesterday. Nothing yet in my email and I'm not sure if there's really a 'status' to check yet as to when the check will be here.

Thanks for the update. As an FYI, according to FedEx, my DS Go was also received in Ohio yesterday. Will update if/when they follow through with partial refund. Fingers crossed!
