GRRR. DME supplier shipped ClimateLineAir Heated Tubing in a BAG

My DME provider shipped my ClimateLineAir heated tubing in a bag instead of a box. Lord only knows how many times it was crushed by boxes, stepped on, kicked, etc on its way to me. Not a happy camper. The DME supplier said they'd replace it if it doesn't work. Big deal. The treatment it received could reduce its lifespan by 50%, 80%, who knows, due to the abuse the sensor and heating coils have endured. GRRRRR.

I called a few online suppliers and most of them said they ship in a bag, too.  If I shipped my eBay sales like that I'd get negative feedback left and right.



Questions.

1. Does everyone get their replacement tubes in a bag?
2. Does this bother anyone else?
3. Have you found a supplier who packs supplies in a box?
4. Is there someplace locally I could pick it up in person? (Denver, CO metro area, Hopefully some place that stocks dozens of them so I would be assured they were shipped appropriately.)
5. Am I over thinking this?

When I ordered a spare from vendor #1 (see the supplier list above) along with several other items like a spare water tank it all arrived together in a box.  They are super accomodating and I would be you can ask for it to be boxed if you want it alone.  Just contact their support first to clarify what they will do.

My DME, Verus Healthcare, shipped my heated hose in its original ResMed plastic packaging and placed it in a plain corrugated box without additional packing materials.

My equipment supplier ships in a plastic bag .. The only thing I can offer is use the supplies
and see what happens .. The factory packaging is a plastic bag, they design and manufacture
the parts .. You would think Resmed would change the packaging if there was alot of shipping
damage !!

My supplies come in their original manufacturer packaging, and packed together in a box. I receive 90 day supplies from Lincare and there is usually more than just a hose.
