However, this software does not have any option for SD card data import. It needs a serial port connection which is obsolete a decade ago. I have not seen any computer with COM port (Serial Port) since 2009 onwards.

You need the paplink software which is further down the same page.....this works well and will take data from an SD card. You might need to "run as administrator" for it to work correctly.
