RE: Hypopnea response
I have found the cause of the spike in pressure a sudden change in breathing pattern.
Why ??

RE: Hypopnea response
You probably changed your sleeping position. Or you were doing something as small as turning your head.
BTW, you have obstruction both before and after the "spike".

RE: Hypopnea response
Inhalation flow limitation because the peak is plateaued.
RE: Hypopnea response
I have always thought that my limitations have been caused by my nasal obstructions. WRONG
Those waveforms are from me using a Oracle for a few minutes this afternoon so they are not nasal limitations. The big question is how can i fix it bearing in mind that I still get limitations at 20 cm pressure Loose 10 stone !!!!!

RE: Hypopnea response
You have a severe flow limitation. If you are using EPR=3, then nothing more can be achieved with this device. As SarcasticDave suggested earlier, you should switch to a more advanced instrument capable of higher pressure support.

RE: Hypopnea response
But because my AHI is normally below 1 and my useage is good my hospital cant see any problem.
This is the NHS in the UK

RE: Hypopnea response
It would be best if you recorded your oxygen saturation overnight. They will change their mind if it is below 90%.
