i do feel groggy though and my heated tube and wrap cant get here fast enough.. why isnt this the default option with these machines dealing with that rain out and all other things its no wonder a lot of people give up on treatment.
im thinking of changing my mask again to the F20 instead of the f30i are my leak rates an issue?

Kaiser never submitted my order for my heated tube. so i called and left a message yesterday - no reply yet as im not suprised.
dealt with a lot of Rain out the last few nights and im at a loss for a solution until my orders come in for the wrap and heated hose.
i got a little weird about my 02 reading last night, my machine is set to east coast time.. so my 02 imports dont line up. ive adjusted with this by using MSpaint to cut and move my stats to see whats actually happening at night, and sure enough my 02 saturation drops when my mask is off. this just helps me reenforce the idea that therapy is working for me and that my saturations are dropping when i sleep take the mask off..
first night was perfect, the following nights im getting some CAs but i cant really tell if theyre "real" or because of movement etc. maybe some here can help. these only started showing up when i turned ramp off. could it be a learning period for my body getting used to forced induction?
The CAs are inconsequential. Because rain-out is such a problem for you, can you try going without humidity until the heated hose arrives? Also, you can reset the clock in your machine. Do it just before you go to bed.
The O2 drops while your mask is off are concerning to me, and I hope you persevere with your doctors to understand what is going on. Be sure to show them the data.

Aren’t these drops from the mask being off part of having severe sleep apnea? As I do end up snoring loud my girlfriend wakes me up. That’s how I know my mask is off most the time.
And for whatever reason whenever I take my mask off I roll over on my back which is the worst position. At least this is what I see when I check my video footage.

lowered humidifier to 4 from 5 (woke up with dry mouth dry throat) changed it back to 5 and that seems to be the balance i need until i can go get fabric or something to insulate the tubing until my heated hose gets ordered by Kaiser.
i spent 8 seconds under 90% last night. which looks to be caused by one CA event - which also appears to have shown up after i turned ramp off. the events im getting seem to be far minimal so as for now ill keep everything and monitor that.
i guess its rare for CPAP to cause CAs. is this something that will get better over time as i get used to the settings and therapy?
Please don't be concerned about a sprinkling of CAs. That's very common, and I'm sure it's common among people who are not on CPAP.
You may not even have been asleep. You can zoom in on the flow rate to see whether the CA was preceded by an arousal. I'm attaching an example from a chart of my own. You'll see regular sleep breathing, then irregular breathing with a greater amplitude, then a CA, then a return to sleep breathing. The irregular breathing is a little arousal.

thank you for sharing that with me it clears things up for me.
i have found a solution to my rain outs. slept really last night except getting congested and feeling like i couldnt breath through my nose at one point so i switched back over to the full face mask.
sp02 levels im still happy with. since reverting the settings i havnt had any "bad nights" so i think thats a win. since the change i havent spent more than 30 seconds under 90% and most nights its 0%
sleep quality is getting better im feeling and now that the rain outs have stopped im able to stay asleep.
i have telephone appointment with my doctor setup this coming week. ill be addressing some issues with him and seeing where we should go forward.

Most definitely. I was diagnosed back in September of this year and this is the first time I’ll have been able to talk to him about it all. I’m definitely looking forward to it.
