Please help with treatment review
RE: Please help with treatment review
Last night was the first night with the cervical collar. Feeling like I haven't slept. Partly right. I woke up at 5:30 a.m. which is an hour early.

I have an interference problem with the top of the collar and the bottom two straps on the N20. I tightened the headgear; probably too much. I'm thinking a different mask would be better.

Darn therapy. Spend 25$ CDN on a collar; a new mask is a lot from my DME supplier. They at least have a trial program and will help me if first selection is bad.

Soft Collar--first night
The collar interferes with the bottom straps on my ResMed N20. Not fun.

Slept really poorly.

I may have to try a collar that's not so high.

RE: Please help with treatment review
Last night was a good night.
Except--I didn't sleep long enough.

I hardly moved at all!

This is my second night using a soft cervical collar. It's the first night i have a record of my sleep. I had card issues night before last, and there's no record.

* Taped! with a slit in the tape
* Soft cervical collar!
* ResMed N20, the usual one.

I am amazed at the image from my sleep app on my cell phone. I woke once for a fast walk to the washroom, and barely moved.

Cautiously saying I'm happy I bought the SCCollar. Thank you everyone!

Thanks sheepless. Much appreciated.

Lots of mask leakage last night. That's ok. Settled down about 3:00 a.m.

Two nights with soft cervical collar & taping
Here are two screenshots.

Last night I remember sneezing. Not fun.
* N20 mask on
* lips taped with a small hole
* cervical collar.

Have no idea what time it was. Almost hurt my ears.

Here's a sleep report from my iWath6

It shows a lot less movement than I'm used to.

Sleep Report for Dec 18,, 2021 iWatch6
This is the sleep report from my iWatch6 for today Saturday 18'21

I didn't wake through the night...(!)

I find that as I get used to the cevical collar I am moving around less and less.

My only issue is that the N20 mask that I've used for a few years the bottom straps are pulled by the cervical collar I chose.

RE: Please help with treatment review
I haven't taken the time to figure out how to read the iwatch report. I assume relative degree of movement is how it distinguishes awake, light, and deep sleep? but insufficient to identify type, source or timing of movement?

less movement is obviously good and I hope pressure and mask adjustments effectively reduce it. however, the choppy flow rate suggests movement and there's still plenty of it. given that you've said you have a history of plm, there may be a limit to how much you can achieve with pap. meanwhile, your leaks could be better even with tape. leaks could be cause and/or effect of some problems. leaks may arouse you, leading to movement, or leaks may be the result of movement. best way to tell is video.

I'm repeating myself so I'll read your future posts but will hold further replies until something new comes up.
