RE: Understanding Pressure Settings on ASV
Looks and sounds very good despite low EPAP. Congrats and keep collecting the wins.

Sleeprider:

Oh, my.   I don't know how to begin to thank you for all of your kind assistance.

I am progressing nicely with ASV auto with the lower pressure levels.
Last night was a more restful sleep.   AHI was at 0.0
There were less awakenings and more REM and deep sleep, which felt so good.
Some aerophagia remains but it is small and so not a big problem.  And there is no chest pain.

As my body relaxes during sleep, I think it will become even more comfortable.

After a few more nights I am hoping I will finally begin recovery from sleep deprivation, which I so desperately need.

I hope this is the beginning of a new quality of life for me.

It feels like the first day of the rest of my life.

I am excited.

Hooray!

Thank you for all of your time, patience, expertise and kindness.

I appreciate all you have done for me, so very much!

Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you!

>>How is your treatment so far fixed EPAP ?
>>I used to hate my ASV and turned to VAuto.
>>I used ASV.  Always blasted me with huge amounts of air out of nowhere when I just exhale slowly air out (inhale and exhale slowly). And I am just like >>you, very sensitive to pressure

I tried ASV mode with fixed EPAP pressure for one night but was not comfortable with it.

I am using ASV auto at low pressures.   With some trial and error, and caution, it seems to be progressing nicely for me, after so many years of struggle.

But I'm fairly certain these low pressures are not going to work for everyone and may create problems for some people.

It seems it is a delicate balancing act between pressures, comfort and preventing AHI events.

Sorry, JCW888.  I am not the person to give advice about ASV and pressure settings.

I would encourage you to ask one of the long-time members or board members of the apnea board.  They are knowledgeable and experienced.  I am not.
