Friday night, I noticed some low volume "moaning" that I though was coming from where the air hose plugs into my face mask. I unplugged the hose several times and then reconnected it. The noise remained.
Last night (Friday) the "moaning noise" noise was even louder. So much so, that I didn't try to use my machine. The noise only occurs when I inhale. Exhaling it's fine.
The noise seems to be coming from the air filter end of the machine. I closely examined the seals in the water chamber well of the machine. Both seem to appear to be fine and in good shape.
I even tried the block-off plate attachment that you can use when you don't want to use the humidifier. The noise remained.
My machine has 6747 total hours on it. I received it in Sept. of 2018. I know that I'm qualified for a new machine once it's 5 yrs. old. I won't be seeing my family doctor until Aug. 1st for a follow-up exam. He's the same doctor that prescribed me my CPAP back in 2018.
My question is, has anyone experienced a problem similar to the one I'm posting about? I've done everything that I can think of to get rid of the moaning noise. I stopped by a local medical equipment store today. They sell CPAP's but don't repair them. And, they don't do any insurance claims or processing. Cash only sales.
Any and all suggestions, tips and advice will be greatly appreciated.
