Single Hypopnea that didn't happen

Single Hypopnea that didn't happen
Last night, the S9 Autoset reported only a single hypopnea.

Almost a 0.0.

But the hypopnea never happened; zooming in on it with SleepyHead shows VERY CLEARLY that the breathing was continuous (not even a gap) with only a very slight irregularity (marginal reduction in flow.)

So it really was a 0.0 night despite what the machine says.

Also, I didn't get up for the bathroom at all (even with CPAP, I have gotten up 1 time almost every night) AND I was never awake for a long time when rolling over etc.

I did wake a couple of times to roll over or fix a leak in the nasal pillow, but not enough to call it a sleepless period.

Just saying, there's no question here or deep message.

All in all, I am averaging 0.3 for the last 7 nights with a max of 0.9.

That's just amazing, HerbM! Congratulations - and all of this while the moon is bright (at least here in Nevada it is).

Sounds like (at the moment) you're all dialed in - congrats. Now, don't sneeze, or change the shape of your face...

HA's are scored based on the flow curve. A delta of -50% is scored as a HA.
Did you show any flattening (flow limitation) just before the HA was scored?

No, there was nothing long enough to justify the scoring.

It looks like I probably roused at that point, perhaps to turn over.

A deeper breath (more flow) and a very slight change in the 5 breaths but they were all clearly good breaths just a little bit different from the perfect regularity and shape of the sleeping breaths.

NOWHERE near different enough to justify the scoring. I have seen these plenty of time and discussed the issue with others who interpret sleep data.

It's just annoying to be cheated out of a 0.0 Smile
