Sleep Issues

Sleep Issues
Good morning

I have sleep apnea which is treated with Resmed Air 10 Auto and my AHI is less than 1 regularly and under control with 0 leak. This would suggest my apnea is under control.

Recently I have been awoken during the night in a strange state which I can only describe as a mixture of dizziness/hallucinations/head fuzziness/eye or sight disturbance as if I am high or out my face on drugs. I do not take drugs, drink nor smoke and my hydration was a good level.

Does anyone experience similar or know what the likely cause of this is?

Today I am absolutely shattered as if I have hardly slept. I felt I woke regularly during the night, had my bed sheets pulled off at one point and generally feel crap today and literally fighting to stay awake!

Thanks

Not that we will see anything but post your nightly chart and let us look at it. It cannot hurt!

RE: Sleep Issues
Just GUESSING maybe flow limits. ResMed does not report these in AHI. please put up a night of OSCAR charts.

RE: Sleep Issues
            Good Morning,

Thank you for your kind responses so far. I am not sure whether APAP might be the issue and might be worth discussing CPAP for a constant pressure with my sleep med rather than fluctuating. I wonder whether the fluctuations in pressure might be what is causing me to regularly wake up during the night. I had a trial of this last night and saw my average pressure over a week is 12.8 so therefore set my machine to CPAP 12.8 and I feel I had a better less broken sleep but did get some leakage which may suggest that pressure might still be a bit high.

Please see below charts as requested. I look forward to any feedback.

1 Further graph to be added for last night

Thanks everyone. Not sure how many charts would be need so thought I would give enough to see if there is any obvious stand outs over the last 10 days

RE: Sleep Issues
I think your flow limits are the driver for higher pressures. And it appears fixed pressure was not the solution, the FL increased. I think this is in part because of the pressure differential acting on flow limits. Are you using EPR?

I'd consider an APAP range, 7-8 on the minimum side and about 13 on the Max side. Trying this with EPR 2, not EPR 3 yet in light of a few treatment emergent CA on the chart. Something like this may be better in results and in feel.

RE: Sleep Issues
I would set EPR=2 and see what happens. This should make a dent in the flow limits.

Click that triangle between the month and year to minimize the calendar and expose more important data. Using F12 to take the screenshot does this automatically
