[Symptoms] urgent help needed: "Flutter" on falling asleep (on PAP or otherwise)

RE: urgent help needed: "Flutter" on falling asleep (on PAP or otherwise)
Just a thought: Do you have acid reflux? Acid reflux can cause pressure feelings in the chest AND induce heart palpitations. Anxiety from that can boost your heart rate and trigger panic attacks. All that is most likely to occur when you are in a recumbent position. Just a thought. If you want to test that theory, there are plenty of OTC medications that will eliminate the symptoms. If you have esophagitis from reflux, it might take a number of days for it to resolve.

Hi Jay,

I've been using CPAP since 2011. When i say "benign" it's because i have had six or seven cardiologists check me over in four countries, at least ten Holters and several treadmill tests -- all of which showed no pathological or disease issues. I do believe in God's healing; but it is in His time and His way. When i say "benign" i mean in the sense that, after 25 years of chasing this, had it been severe or progressive, it would have killed me by now. The truth is, i had this sensation in other forms six years or more before i finally bought a CPAP and started using it. I believe the CPAP will help to prevent future illness; but it is God who does the healing, even when you use CPAP. And, sometimes (i think) even when you take medicine as prescribed (including CPAP), you may not experience the desired outcome because medicine is not perfect. I hope anyone on this Board who has experienced "fluttering' sensations when using CPAP (or without), when falling asleep, might be able to help me find the optimal preventative measures/cure.
