[Treatment] Need some advice

Need some advice
Hi,

I have been on CPAP for a few months now. Doing a lot better then before treatment!

My AHI's are usually pretty low (Sub 4). But there are a lot of events in middle of the night where my breathing is messed up. Sometimes not enough to be an event but still not great. I'm wondering if it is fracturing my sleep and leaving me less well rested then I could be.

When I tried putting more pressure on I ended up with more CA's.

Here are two sample night of OSCAR data.

Thank you for all your help.

Therapy looks good from these charts, and events are mainly obstructive, generally starting near your minimum set pressure. I think you might try increasing pressure to 8.0 or 8.4 and see if that is more preventive. You won't need to increase maximum pressure.

Your sleep architecture looks pretty solid in the first chart, maybe not quite so robust in the second. How's your overall sleep hygiene? It's pretty easy to chase perfect numbers in OSCAR while losing sight of things that apply to everyone.

Sleep hygiene is pretty good (I think).

Here are the last 2 nights with the new settings. Not so great...

Increased pressure resulted in an increase in tidal volume, and minute vent, but some additional CA events. In judging these results, you need to try not to let the AHI numbers over-rule qualitative comfort. Therapy was already good and is still good. I would expect in time the event rate will equal out, so base your decision on comfort and go for that.

RE: Need some advice
Are you taking your mask off and going back to sleep in the mornings? If not, your problem is probably simple sleep deprivation because your longest posted chart is only 6 hours long. If you're still feeling tired the simplest answer is to add at least another hour, better yet more like two, to your sleep time.

RE: Need some advice
An update with another question.

1. I set it to 7.8 It seems to be the sweet spot.

2. I went out and got an ASV 10. What should my starting settings be based on the fact that I'm now at 7.8?

Thanks!
