Error Message GUI Lib Invalid from Dreamstation 2
After I change my filters last night, I got and the machine won’t work anymore. It says:

GUI lib invalid
Req: 2
Loaded: 2
CRC: FAIL

Does anyone know what this means or what to do?

Thank you

I am getting the same, after disconnecting it from a power board and hearing a crackle.

Anything you’ve found or done to solve your issue?

Thanks,
Scott

Exact same error occurred while I was sleeping last night, we had a 10 to 15 second power outage.

The first I notice a problem, it could not be shut off. So I unplugged it and a miut later plugged it back in. Message displayed and will not turn on.

When I got this machine about 3 1/2 years ago, within a month or two, this happened and the only solution was it had to be replaced.

The original Dreamstation was far superior to the Dreamstation 2 in durability and ease of use.

The 2 is a piece of junk.

To close the loop on this issue, here's what I did:

Called Philips Respironics Support: 1 800-345-6443
The support lady took my details and created a ticket for me and transferred me to their Patient Recall Support number line ( 1 833-262-1871 Option 1) in order to walk through some troubleshooting with the device.

With the next person, she confirmed that I was getting the "GUI Lib Invalid" error message and promptly arranged a replacement to be shipped. Sounds like it is a known issue and the solution is replacement.

I guess it depends on what day you contact Philips. Three years ago. when mine failed like this (and just 2 months old where they supplied the device under the recall protocol), Phillips said I would have to go through my HME supplier.

It took nearly 2 months to get the unit replaced. I hope it works out for you now.

Now on a slightly different story, I am fortunate to have my original 10 year old Dreamstation 1, not the one recalled, although it too could have been recalled.

Well it is my backup, it is ten years old, was used 6 years and was replaced as it was simply 6 years old and I was eligible for a new one.

Well I unpacked it and I am using it because my current DS3 machine is dead.

Now the following is very interesting. For about the last 3 to 4 months, on the Dreamstation 2. I started being woke up at 1, 2 or 3 AM in the morning for no apparent reason 6 out of 7 times a week. I couldn't put my finger on a reason.

So the past three nights, since I put the 10 year old, 6 year used. device into service, I have returned to falling asleep faster and sleeping my normal 7 to 8 hours.

No other changes to my bedtime pattern or my up time patterns has changed.

I am beginning to think that the DS2 has been doing something weird for 3 to 4 months before it failed.
