wish I could control my leaks,, next step is to tape my mount shut.

Are you getting a dry mouth due to mouth leaks or is it mask leaks you are getting or both?
A lot of people do tape their mouths shut (My wife wishes I would tape mine shut!) with two bits of tape stuck together and a small slit in it just in case they need to breathe through their mouth.  You would think the air would escape through the small slit, but they tell me it doesn't.
However, I wouldn't recommend you do that!

My sleepyhead is showing  mouth leaks. I use  a chin strap and a neck brace but still get mouth leaks.

Last nights sleepyhead showed no OA but many CA. Pressure was set at min  11 and max of 15. With EPR of 1. I did notice when I got the CAs was when I had a major air leak with mouth open. 

I was wondering which way to go with my numbers to reduce CAs?

Stay the course for now. CA often rises when you first use EPR or pressure support and that is not a surprise. If the problem continues, then eliminating EPR should put you back where you were. Feel free to post a chart so we can put some numbers to "many".

From Sleeprider on another thread. "Jerry, your leaks are not the issue. About one page ago, I suggested setting your pressure at 8.0 and turning EPR off. You then had a bad night with a lot of leaks, but I still think you need to give fixed lower pressure and no EPR a fair trial. You have complex apnea, and this problem is not going to resolve by itself. You need to be working toward getting on ASV."

Yes I remember but it sounds low to me. I have been on 11 for 5 years. My machine then didn't register what kind or how many I was getting so I stayed with 11.


I will try straight 8  tonight I guess and let you know how it turns out.

I'm just a newbie. But over and over I've seen stated that when you have CAs you need to reduce pressure. But not too low or you'll have OAs.

That's why people are telling you to lower your pressure.
