I prefer the Amazon method of ordering Monday at lunch and they are delivered for free Tuesday before lunch.

So do I (prefer Amazon Prime), though I've never gotten a next day delivery. (By the way, I've been told Amazon Prime isn't necessary to get free delivery. Is that true?)

If you can solve the mystery of "next day" and Prime or not, you will be a miracle worker. I have Prime and they deliver anything really now next day, even a single thing for $9.95 but I think absent Prime it's 2 days free shipping over $25 or $35. I am in Canada but even US Amazon items arrive in 2 days, customs and taxes prepaid. For some items I will check the US site, and at times prices are half, shipping is next to nothing and it arrives in 2 days.

I usually buy where Amazon is the seller (anything of any value, always) and fulfilled by Amazon. Not by Marketplace sellers.

I can also get same day delivery if I order select items at 2-3 a.m., they deliver by 10 p.m. the same day.  How they differentiate what qualifies, beats me.

This Temu thing sure it's great they notify you of every step but it takes a long time. It has to if you've ever flown to Asia it's 16-20 hours one way just to fly to North America. I'm not waiting from the 27th to the 30th for a $5 item I can get here for the same price.
